Racehorse Rescue Centre offers hands-on equine EMS experience for veterinary students from the UK and overseas. You will learn in a real rescue environment while helping us care for vulnerable and retired racehorses.

Who can apply?
We welcome enquiries from veterinary students seeking equine EMS experience, including students studying in the UK and international students who can meet UK travel, visa and university requirements.
Students from veterinary schools including Edinburgh and Glasgow have gained experience with us. This does not imply a formal university partnership or accreditation.
Free accommodation
Free accommodation may be available for eligible EMS students, subject to availability and prior agreement.
Location: Carlisle, close to the Scottish border.
